Ontario to ease public health measures in three steps

Ontario is to take steps to gradually ease public health measures starting the end of the month, on January 31 2022. Ontario Ministry of Health announced that the steps are going to be taken as key public health and health care indicators have showed signs of improvement.

In a video in Twitter, Premier Ford, said “Percent positivity has now dropped to %15.9. New admission to hospitals are starting to slow and patients are spending far less time in the hospital where admitted. Health system is stabilizing with more people coming back to work. The additional measures were always intended to be time limited” ” The evidence shows that these measures are working…” Then he added, “We look to cautiously ease public health measures.”

The steps are released:

On January 31, social gathering limit of 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors. Capacity limit of % 50 in indoor public settings, including restaurants. Spectator capacity limit of %50 or 500 people (whichever is less) at facilities such as sport events and concert venues.

On February 21, social gathering limit of 25 people indoors and 100 people outdoors. Removing capacity limits in indoor public settings where proof of vaccination is required. Capacity limit of %50 at spectator events, including sport events and concert venues. Increasing indoor capacity limits to %25 in higher-risk settings such as nightclubs with proof of vaccination.

On March 14, increase social gathering limits to 50 people indoors with not limits for outdoor gatherings. Lifting capacity limits in all indoor public settings with proof of vaccination. Lifting capacity limits of all indoor public settings. Lifting capacity limits on religious services.
